1. Adopt a house

Description

• Support a house of 10 children and their caregivers.
• Annual support costs Kes 2.6 M per house
• A village comprises 15-16 houses

Estimated cost of adopting a house

It costs Kes 2.6M to sponsor 1 family house per year per house (100% Sponsorship for 1 year)

Direct child cost – 62% this includes food, shelter, clothing, education and medical care.

Indirect child cost – 28% these are administration costs.

2. As a sponsor you will;

• Receive an appreciation certificate
• Have a plaque displayed in the sponsored house in your honour

3. Child Sponsorship

Description

• Direct support for one child from any house

Estimated cost

• Individual child sponsorship is kes 90,000/- per year. This applies to a case where one prefers to sponsor only one child and not an entire family house

4. In-kind donation

Description

• We appreciate donations of items in any SOS Children's Villages in Kenya.

• Categories of donation:
  • Food - non-perishables like cereals, maize meal ,sugar etc.
  • Material items: - Clothes, shoes, beddings, linen, mattresses, mosquito nets ,beddings, solar panels and linen.
  • Home appliances - fridge, TV sets, Radios etc.
  • Scholarly materials - text books, writing books, story books, pens, school bags, uniforms and CBC material.
  • Environmental - seedlings

5. Work place giving

• Your staff can make monthly contributions through the payroll check off system. The collection is put together and transferred to SOS Children's Villages in Kenya bank account.

6. Youth employability programs

You can:

• Provide structured training for our young people aligned to market demands.
• Provide Internship and mentorship program.
• Organize attachment opportunities for our young people.
• Fund youth entrepreneurship programs.
