SOS CV Kenya is a member of the Association of Alternative Family care since its inception a year ago. The association brings together individuals, government and non-governmental organisations to work towards the implementation of the guidelines for the alternative care of children in Kenya. The mission of the association is primarily to promote family and community based care for all the children in Kenya through the implementation of the guidelines and other relevant legislation and policies. It also consolidates diverse knowledge, skills and voices to shape and promote child reforms that will strengthen and preserve family and community based approaches. The Association recently held its first AGM an opportune time to focus on the association's achievements, challenges and future plans moving forward.
